Mini Guide Slider was developed based on a new concept different from a conventional cylinder attached with a linear guide. The linear guide of Mini Guide Slider is manufactured and integrated into the cylinder body and table. The product range has been expanded and consists of 7 bore sizes (4.5mm, 6mm, 8mm, 10mm, 12mm, 16mm, 20mm) and 14 models in total. Piping direction can be chosen from Left or Right side for all the models.
As for Cylinder with Rear piping ports, piping materials can be connected at the rear of the cylinder with a dedicated body and piping block.Cylinder with Stroke Sensor is able to measure a stopping position of the cylinder table with 1/100mm accuracy.
It is suitable for pass/fail determination of workpieces and for equipment requiring high-precision because of small workpieces. |

There have already been many compact cylinders with guide in the market. What's the point to differentiate this cylinder from others? |

MINI GUIDE SLIDER has been developed with the target to unite high function and extreme smallness. As a result, this is the smallest cylinder with guide in the world(note). The conventional cylinders with guide are fabricated by assembling a cylinder and a guide into one as they are cylinder portion into the guide body aiming at minitualization and high rigidity as much as possible. When you actually hold it in your hands, you may feel its weight heavier than you expected. Due to the integration of a cylinder and a guide, it is suitable for positioning with running parallelism at0.005mm and installation parallelism at 0.03mm. Also, the cylinder with a diameter of 4.5mm is newly developed responding to further minitualization. There are plenty of features other than the above-mentioned, so please refer to our catalogs. |

What purpose has the product range been expanded for ? |

The product range has been expanded in order to meet customer requests for adjusting a stroke of the cylinder with high-precision, mounting the cylinder on a narrow space, mounting several of the cylinders parallel at a short distance, and connecting piping materials at the rear of the cylinder, etc.
As for Stroke Adjusting Cylinder, repeatability of the stroke can be achieved with a hardened metal stopper, instead of a conventional rubber bumper, at the adjustment side with +/-0.02mm accuracy.
Side-mounted Cylinder can be mounted at either side (Left or Right), and several of the cylinders can be mounted parallel at a short distance (12mm pitch for MGAL4.5) like a manifold of air valves. Piping ports are located at the rear of the cylinder in order to connect piping materials in one direction. A position of the sensor switch can be adjusted from above after the cylinder is mounted for easy maintenance.
As for Standard Cylinder with Rear piping port, piping materials can be connected at the rear of the cylinder with a dedicated body and piping block (Clean System Cylinder is also available). |

What kind of industry or production line is Mini Guide Slider suitable for ? |

Mini Guide Slider is suitable for equipment of electric, electronic, and semiconductor production lines requiring high-precision because of small workpieces.
For example, the cylinder can be used to insert a workpiece into a product, to fasten a workpiece as a compact cramp in assembling process, to connect a test probe on an electric circuit, or to cramp a test piece in inspecting process, etc. Also, Cylinder with Stroke Sensor can be used for pass/fail determination of workpieces. |

It is said that, when using small cylinders, the speed control cannot be conducted sucessfully. Are there any solutions ? |
|

| A. |
Due to large tube diameters of 4mm or 6mm, the piping volume between a cylinder and a valve becomes larger than the cylinder volume. As a result, even if the exhaust control is carried out by a speed controller, air cannot be exhausted quantitatively and the above phenomenon will be caused. In response to the customer's needs, we have already marketed the urethane tube with an outer diameter of 1.8mm and the quick fitting for this tube. The working hours are reduced by using quick fittings due to easy tube mounting and dismounting. And, not only steady speed control but also energy-saving effect is obtained by using this tube due to reduced air volume in the tube. |
